VGA no signal please help.

Just built my first pc and when booted up for the first time says VGA NO SIGNAL...

I have conected via a hdmi cable... fans spinning on card.. pc fans spining...

any ideas??

Try a cmos reset, double check ram is in the correct slots - did this on my I7 Build.

Its the monitor. Tried plugging into my home screen and works - great - now I have to return to a dodgey merchant on amazon.

If you're connecting via HDMI why is the screen saying "VGA"? Is it set to the correct input?

Your right it was set to the wrong imput.

WHOOPS.

Now all i gotta do is get it to boot..

it says' reboot or select proper boot device

Put OS disk in and let it boot from that
