VGA v Component for 360

I tried a VGA cable on my Sammy 23" LCD TV to compare against Component.

The improvement in sharpness of the picture was very nice, however I found no way of making the colours look acceptable, so swapped back to component.

Such a shame because if you could get the colours looking right with VGA, if would be a big improvement on component (IMO).

I've found VGA on my Dell w2600 blurred and also washed out compared to component, i hear elsewhere that the tv is usually good on VGA so it must be the cheap VGA cable i got from the bay. Would a microsoft VGA cable make that much difference?

Is there anyone able to compare the official VGA/component with a third party, eg Joytech VGA/Component?? Im wondering if there is infact a difference and that is why we are all getting different results

I have an official and a Joytech VGA cable. There is no difference in quality for me.
