So guys I was dumb enough to buy a ticket from Viagogo ( I know.....)

Anyways the ticket is for a concert in Bali, I live in the UAE and after I purchased the ticket from them I thought it will be sent to me immediately. Turns out it is coming from Australia and will be sent no later than the 29th November and I'll get it no later than 4th December. The concert is the 7th December. There is no way I'm waiting close to 5 weeks to get a ticket 3 days before a concert. They shouldn't even be selling the ticket if the ticket is not in possession of them or the seller.

So aside from telling me I am stupid from buying from them what can I do? I have contacted my bank to dispute the transaction and they said they would but it may take up to 180 days and basically viagogo keep on saying they will not refund me.

TL;DR read the news and don't buy from these people

I believe viagogo does permit international selling and also that they don’t have to sell the ticket immediately. It does sound a bit unfortunate for you.

Twickets might not have been an availible platform but that only pernits the sale of tickets in hand.

dispute the transaction? LOL, you're taking the **** aren't you? it's not a dispute at all, you made a clear decision to buy a ticket. it's very common to not issue tickets until closer to the event, guess why...? to cut down resellers on places like viagogo.
you should have followed your own TLDR lol.

Most big concerts won't send out tickets until a few days before to combat exactly what you're trying to do - buy resold tickets. Not the seller's fault.

To be fair i used Viagogo for tickets to watch Bayern Munich v Hertha Berlin earlier this year.

I got worried the tickets wouldn’t arrive in time, and whilst there customer service is horrendous. The tickets came a few days before we flew out. I actually ended up with two lots, as the tickets i brought got lost by UPS, so Viagogo sent me some e-tickets to cover it. Turns out we had a choice on the day of away fans or home side.

I could do with some advice.

Long story short - I have some tickets to a sporting event that I thought I could resell through the official ticketing website when I found cheaper ones. But as they are premium hospitality ones, I can't sell them back.

I don't want to sell at any more/less than the face value, but I do want to offload them - so I'm thinking of using the horrid Viagogo or similar to get rid of them. I absolutely detest ticket touting or scalping but I can't think of any other way to offload them.

Is this safe to do? Or is there a better way I can sell them on?

I suppose the easiest way would be to find someone you know who actually wants to go to [x] event. Someone in person, I mean.

Twickets or another seller that only accepts near-enough original value.

To the OP; tough cheese. You shouldn't have helped finance scum-suckers like Viagogo and I'm glad you've learnt your lesson. Thxbai.

Cheers, that does sound like my best bet. It sounds like a long shot, but hopefully the tournament organisers are only looking at price-up resellers e.g. stubhub & viagogo. I'm also worried that by putting them up they might block my other tickets to the tournament if discovered.

I'll have a look once I receive the tickets, either that or preferably try and find someone I can sell face-to-face with.
