Hello i have a 280x toxic which i bought about a month a go. When the fans spin up it does this annoying vibrating noise.

what can i do? do you think its a fan bearing?

They use bearingless fans so it aint that!! ;)

Check its fixed down right and also check nothing is touching the card.

It should not vibrate !
If it did my missus would be round like a shot! :D I wish....

Pretty sure its all in correctly. It did it before i changed the motherboard. Happens at certain rpms. Mrs is playing sims and i can hear it above the fans :(

Manual fan control on catalyst control at 42% causes it to do it. But anything between 40-46 does it. Its coming from the first fan sounds like its rubbing on the heat sink

Can be a defective fan, can be something else that gets on the same frequency as the fans and starts to vibrate, can be something else becoming loose (like a screw).

My custom 7950 had the same problem, one of the fans made a vibrating noise. I later found out that it was due to the protective hard plastic of the cooler, i put a pencil on the PSU to hold that plastic cover just a few mm higher than normal and the vibration is gone :)

I'll give it a try later, will prop card up and also take it out have a proper look. Anybody know what the return policy is regarding this issue? Or the warranty?

All sorted, examined the card and a few screws were loose around the card.

Also gave me the chance to do some cable management as im lazy

Help, still doing it. I've checked everything, i've just managed to lower the vibrating a little to only do it at 41%

is this something i can return to the manufacturer ?

is it something that is not covered under warranty?

it clearly just needs a few fan or some more spacing between the fan wire and the fan.

GRRRRRR

Try it, I just didn't want downtime. It's probably the weight of the card making it so heavy it's not straight.
