Vice City for iOS is coming :D

is GTA 3 good for the ipad still looking for that great ipad game to take me over the chrimbo period?

GTA3 is brilliant, it's basically the original game with a few texture updates. The controls though can be a little dodgy, especially for targetting and shooting.

Vice city though is out on the 6th, tomorrow, and apparently the controls have been improved, so I would hold out for that. Or buy both, worth every penny.
 
Personally thought vice city was the worse of the 3, but then again, i was quite young when they came out, so i wasn't too interested in the story.

Ill definately be getting it for my play though, nothing beats playing it with the PS controls :D
 
Rumours is it will be available from midnight tonight! so staying awake!

(or is that the norm for new Appstore things?).

The game itself is fantastic, it's one of my favourite of all time, but the controls on iPad aren't particularly great. I also had the displeasure of playing it on my old Galaxy S II and while the iPad is obviously much better control-wise due to the larger on screen buttons, it's still pretty terrible if you want to do anything quickly and smoothly. I found aiming and performing tricky driving maneouvres to be a complete nightmare.

Still, for the price it's worth taking the plunge simply for the amount of game you're getting for your money, I'd be very tempted though at this stage to simply wait for Vice City, that's another of my all time favourites. :)
