You have to wonder if these so called ‘anti-racists’ are really against it considering they notice race, EVERYWHERE.
I'm reminded of those fervent American preachers so obsessed with homosexuality that they saw it everywhere in everything and ranted on and on about how terrible it is...before it comes to light that they're homosexual, often involving seedy pay by the hour "hotels" and prostitutes.

That's what make-up is for.
I don't care what an actor looks like in real life, but if they're playing a real person or an already established character they should look the part while playing the part unless there's a good reason for them not to. Political fashion isn't a good reason.
EDIT:
I read that "gets destroyed by actual historian" article...and it's wrong. The historian, unsurprisingly, was destroying a strawman. They wrote nothing to counter what the councillor had actually said. Probably because they couldn't and they thought (correctly) that a strawman argument would be effective in this case.
