Victoria Pendleton

I'm not sure if this is a Freddie Flintoff style change of career (for a TV show) or she's planning a long term go at it.

I know she's aiming for riding the Foxhunters chase at Cheltenham, she came second today in her first proper race but that was a 1 mile flat race doing 3 1/2 miles over fences is a whole other ball game! Fair play to her for giving it a go though.
 
I believe Victoria was pushed very hard by her father into cycling.
She has won her gold's, sounds like she's following her heart this time.

I went the opposite way from horses to cycling after a spinal injury.

I did really enjoy horse riding though.

Yep, that seemed to be the case from her autobiography. I get the impression she was never very happy despite her immense success so I really hope this fills that void for her.
 
If you want me to understand your point, you'll have to explain what you perceived as harsh. Was it the use of the word 'really', was it giving an example of something 'more random', was it the smiley at the end, or something else altogether. I have a very thick skin, so I forget sometimes that people with very thin skin might take offence when I compose a sentence or use one of the more...er...controversial emoticons.
