Hi again,

What do you guys use to organise your photos offline?

When I travel I take tonnes of snaps (8MP) and vid clips with my phone (720 Vid :D )

Yet I just often chuck them into a folder called "Serbia 2009" or something.

It would be nice if there was some kinda of image browser with tagging, that also supports videos.

SO I can have lots of tags on each picture and video. This would also make viewing them a bit easier too!

Suggetions?

Thanks!

I use Adobe Bridge.

Just had a look at your website. Very interesting photos! Will look at them all :).

I have adobe bridge! Just fired it up and it looks perfect for the job! Never even knew what it was, just thought it was something that came with Photoshop! Going to play with it now.

Glad you like the pics, most of them are just snaps from my slr, with a touch of editing. I don't have time to re-visit a place for the "right" light, so just take the best I can when I'm there!

I really need an online way of organising them, currently a list of bullet points isn't the most glamorous!!

Adobe bridge doesn't let me do anything really with mp4 files, ie tag them etc...

However picasa is great! Really impressed!

Only negative is the uploading compression on the videos is a bit rubbish, which is strange as can't they use the same technology as they do for youtube?

I use Picasa as a quick image browser, but not much more. I'm not particularly taken with it's handling of raw files - in terms of quality.

Had a look at the face recognition the other week; I have to say I was pretty impressed with that.
