I've given in and bought a new 3GS. I've got quite an extensive divx collection, some of which I'd like to play back on the phone.

Any good software out there? Being able to alter size to get it native as well as batch process would be ideal.

Thanks

Videora is a good application, but it takes time on the CPU.. around 40minutes on my Dual Core to convert a 1 hout and a half, DivX AVI to a MP4 at my iPod Touch 2nd Gen's Res.

If you have a CUDA enabled nVidia graphics card, then definately grab Badaboom. It converts using your Graphics card, and it's extremely quick; about 10 minutes for the same file as above, on a 8800GTS 320MB.

So either are good, but the 2nd is better if you can run it.

I use MediaShow Espresso by Cyberlink, it's like nVidia's Badaboom but also supports ATI cards GPGPU processing. Very fast and has iPod/iPhone and all those profiles (as well as YoutubeSD/HD).

The interface rapes ass though. It really is very swish.

MediaCoder iPod Edition is also pretty quick, about 15 minutes per hour of video on an E6600 (2.4 Ghz). Badaboom is very quick but you need an nVidia card.
