If you have any students/teachers in the family you can use the email and get the Adobe cloud student subscription. Personally I think it’s reasonable value for all the software at about £16 a month, premier for editing, photoshop and illustrator for visuals, after effects for intros etc, audition for audio.
And yes common misconception on the GPU rendering... faster decoding and rendering to screen while you edit but rendering the file is still heavily CPU bound. More cores and threads would be good.
