I've recently obtained a 2-year old HP Ipaq (Windows Mobile 5.0) and so I have pondered the idea of using it to watch videos on the train, etc.
I've downloaded and installed DivX player for Windows Mobile - which seems perfectly nice and all. Now, the DivX website reccommends that I encode the files with the following characteristics:
24fps
300kbps video
128kbps audio
I've used VirtualDub with the DivX plugin to encode a few files using the 300kbps video options. The video does work, however, it does tend to chug at a low-fps when run on the PDA if I crank up some of the quality settings (it only has a 500-odd Mhz CPU).
I'm also somewhat confused as to how to tackle the audio side of things.
Does anyone have an suggestions of a better way to do this? I would appreciate your input.
