So many bangers on Nintendo machines back in the day.

But if you had to nailed down, it would be this track.

It was dance music before i even knew it was dance music. Many years clubbing ensued after this :D

Great thread!

Going to throw in a few probably forgotten or unknown gems and show my age :p

The Mega CD was a complete game changer for game music, some of the OSTs, especially by core design were materpieces

Remember that time futuremark made a game?

Was on the community early access and testing for this and personally loved it, shame it failed

Sound track was absolutely phenomenal if you have a good sound system it's all worth a listen!

So many good OST from the past. From games currently in my rotation.

Crimzon Clover (2011)

I remember dropping £60 on this JAP import for my US SNES during the europe/US/JAP release nonsense we had to deal with "back in the day".
Wait 6-12 months for a UK release? Nah mate, i got this covered :D

Completely blown away by this game when it first came out, post Goldeneye, Half Life so it wasn't as if it was my fist rodeo with great/good/ half decent FPS games.

People underestimate how important a soundtrack is but Turok 2 is probably the epitome of the music makes the game, much like the music makes the film, ala Conan The Barbarian 1982.

They just wouldn't be as good without the music.

That connection between game soundtracks and getting into dance music is interesting. Was it the rhythm or the synth sounds that first grabbed you?

Really like this, and certainly unknown to me as well as anything not on SNES around that time or from before that

Good pick!, it was certainly something playing this game at launch. I was actually listening to this myself just recently, specifically this version which I really like.

Speaking of opening level themes, another that always comes to mind is Super R-Type... it really goes places

...and on remixes, I really like this one of perhaps my favorite PD track
