Video Problem

Hi guys,
When I try and play a video everything slows down and becomes unresponsive. Everything goes very odd, the minimize, maximise and close buttons on windows disappear and reappear continually. If you open a new window it takes years to open and when it does the edges appear before the acutal content.
This happens when watching videos on WMP and Quicktime, flash movies seem to work fine. Anyone know what the problem might be?

The temps of the computer are fine and my graphics drivers are up to date (nvidia 9.1.3.3).

Specs:
XP2500+
nvidia 6600
1gb ram
audigy 2 (upto date drivers)

Can anyone help me? This is starting to get really annoying as I want to watch videos!

Have you tired reinstalling your codecs?

If that's been happening since you installed nvidia 91.33 - roll back to a previous one and wait. Lot's of people complaining about stability issues with this driver.

Ahh forgot to mention its a fresh install, do you have a link to the latest stable drivers?

Dont re install..

Im having the EXACT same problem, however only started last week ago...(Fresh install)

I downloaded http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_84.21.html and everything seems fine now, thanks guys!

Any idea when nVidia will release a driver with no stupid bugs?
