I have a DVD which contains CCTV footage however it's only playable on a computer as you require software for it.
Usually I use SnagIt to record the video section of the footage, and then save to a video format, then burn to disk. This can then be played on a DVD / Television without any software.
However, the quality of the copy is generally poor. For example, you could have a really crisp original video, but once put into a video format the quality is really poor.
I've played about with compression settings, but don't think it can be improved.
...
I know there are other alternatives out there to SnagIt, and ones that do a better job. However I don't know there names, or have forgotten them!
Can anyone recommend any to try?
Thanks
