I have a weird problem here. I go to watch YouTube videos. It has no sound () and they stop working after 11 seconds (whilst using the headset. Ok, maybe my internet is bugged or my PC is playing up so I re start and try again. Same thing happens.

What confuses me is when I select the output device as the speakers, it works fine. If I am watching with speakers, then I swap over to the headset, then the sound stops from that point, and the video will get stuck 11 seconds after.

Now I know the headset is not broken. I used it on skype all night (and I believe videos were working yesterday night with headset) and I can hear sound from games/movies which I have on my PC.

I'm confused here. I googled, and basically what I go was just remove Hardware Acceleration & Update Drivers (which i both did) but it did not solve my problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So you're changing sound devices during the video? This can confuse a lot of problems which relies on the default sound device, so you need to change to the headset/speaker before you load the video.

- Select Normal speakers as default sound
- Video works
- Closes web browser
- Select headset as default sound
- Video does not work

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different one? The web browser might still be open in the background so it loads faster when you reopen it.

On the other hand Flash recently has been a pile of crap, the recent updates really is breaking it.

If using Chrome, try this fix: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=22484368&postcount=6

If using Firefox, disable Protected mode as shown at the bottom of this page: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071

If using Internet Explorer... well... time to change browsers ;).
