Hi guys,

Are there any freeware or very cheap apps. out there that allow you to view wireless networks (SSID, Channel etc?) in your area through your router as opposed to doing it through a USB dongle etc?

I know there’s a network/s near me using the same channel atm, and I think it’s causing me a few wireless problems :(

The USB dongles I use on my network are mostly out of range to see all of the networks, but I’m at the front of the house so I should have a better chance of seeing everyone that’s near me

Cheers,

SW.

There might be an option within your router's web interface. Can't see software hooking into the router's wireless hardware...

Obvious point.....if your Wifi adapters cant pick it up, it's not interfering with them. If they can see your network and no others either the SID broadcasts are off or there are no other networks in range. You might wanna look at other sources of interference.
Or just be a rebel and change YOUR cahnnel.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but they only scan through NICS? As tolien says :)

I'm going to try a different channel I think?

Cheers,

SW.
