Viewsonic - Issue?

Hi,

I have just got myself a Viewsonic VG2030wm 20" TFT Monitor and have been pleased.

I am using a Belkin Pure Av DVI Cable connected from monitor to computer on an ATI Radeon 1900XTX running Windows Vista and latest ATI drivers.

Monitor is great, although after a time (several hours) of the monitor coming out of hibination etc, a large number of very small flashing pixels are displayed on screen, mainly showing red.

To clear this I log off visita and then log back in again, as if the screen needs a more physical 'refresh'.

Is their a problem with my monitor? - The pixels are not large and they are all over the screen flashing (not noticable, but can be seen when you look clearly).

Any ideas?

I had a problem like this with my 9800Pro on a CRT.

there was some red and blue pixels flashing, mainly in video and game playback. it got worse and worse until one day my screen froze, and then a restart reveailed my graphics card had died!

luckyly Saphire replaced under warantee. I think it just cooked itself inside my SFF case.

so it may be a heat issue with your card and maybe not your monitor
