viewsonic va1912w irritating 'digital' splash

Must be me being dumb, but can anyone tell me how to stop the 'digital' message repeatedly appearing onscreen ? Seems to appear when ever the input to the screen changes in some way that is a mystery to me.

dont think you can, it's a "feature" of a lot of Viewsonic screens I'm afraid.

You know, I had a sneaking feeling that might be the case....
Thanks for the info, at least it stops me trying to find the setting.
'Feature' isn't the word I would have used.

I'm not infront of that monitor at the moment, however, there is the option to turn off the on-screen message such as "not running at 1280x1024" maybe there is the same for the problem you have although I'm not quite sure what message you are getting as I've only ever had the resolution one.

You mean that blue box that pops up dont you?....annoying isnt it.

Every LCD has little quirks like this, shame nobody ever tells you about them until you have paid for one...

Still haven't found a way around this - drives me crazy in games that have resolution changes between gameplay and menu's :|

stick a "post it note" in the centre of the screen...

Sorry, forgot about this post and not infront of that monitor again however if it is the Res box you are talking about I'm pretty sure you turn it off :

Go to Setup Menu, then there's an option "Resolution Notice", disable it..

If that's not it, reply and I'll try to remember to look when I get home.
