Vinyl Flooring Brands

I've found a really nice Tarkett Goliath slate style vinyl at my local Carpetright. Had loads of samples through eBay, but none of them seemed good vfm compared to the aforementioned.

£13.79/m2, 4mm thick with a 0.35mm wear layer.

Still unsure about bonding it though. Might pay to have it fitted. If it does have to be bonded, are there any good repositionable adhesives out there worth looking at?

I think the Tarkett vinyls I found on ebay were around £6 a sq meter, which is what made me think they might not be the best quality.

I'm also thinking of loose laying it, rather than glueing it, but not 100% sure yet. Videos on Youtube all seem to get voted down, with comments saying they are doing it wrong, so it's hard to judge the best way of fitting it. I'd imagine that if you're not bonding it then it would be best to use a thicker, better quality vinyl.

I think I will have a go myself, but will not bond it at first and see what happens. Can always bond it later if there are any problems.

£11.29m² for the Goliath vinyl at http://www.factory-direct-flooring.co.uk btw. I have ordered a couple of samples.

Damnit! The price for that Goliath vinyl was £11-odd ex VAT the last time I looked a few days ago. Gone with Carpetright now at £13.79/m2 inc. VAT for Antia Black.

My bad, its only £11.29 if you order over 100msq :o. Still thinking of going for this as it does seem to be good stuff.

Ah, that's not so bad then!

Frustratingly, my kitchen is 3.02m wide (excepting the doorway), so we have to buy a 4m wide piece. So we pay for 24m2 instead of 18m2.
