Hi guys, im doing my dissertation at the moment on videogame violence and it would be great if you could answer this quick survey.

You dont have to give long answers unless you want to and any that you do answer would be a great help.

Thanks!

Heres the questions: (just quote me and fill in under neath to make it easier.)

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
it is justified in most games and if lost could affect the gaming experience

yes in general - but if the age difference is small like a year then no

I think they have an effect

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

Depends on how extreme the violence is, obviously a young child is going to be affected by an 18 rated game.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
It is justified in some games but not all, same with movies.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Definitely

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

I think generally parents are very uneducated when it comes to video games, and they see the ratings as a guide to how old the child needs to be to play the game from a difficulty perspective and not a content perspective.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Absolutely not

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

Yes, take the fox news/mass effect episode recently, again the general public is uneducated when it comes to video games.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Yes.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

I'm sure it will help.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Absolutely

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

Nope

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

Some children, yes. In the same way any violent medium would

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

If it is justified for realism, yes. If it's toned down because the developers feel necessary, no problems either. (No More Heroes does not feature blood in UK, but does in US. Suda's decision, no problems with it from me).

Violence for violence sake seems pointless.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Yes; but it might not stop me buying it if I can trust the person I'm buying it for.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

I don't think it has an effect for a good deal of parents. I imagine some parents just pick up the game because their children have asked for it. I certainly would look at the rating for my children.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Not at all. Playing violent games for it's violence, in my opinion, would only reflect the violence already in a person.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

Yes - but because games are far more interactive/immersive than films, TV or books/comics, I can see why people would think video games to be more 'damaging' than the other mediums.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Yes.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

No. While a GTA type game or something like Doom exists, there will always be claims. It's not as if the past cases the people were playing Mario before they ate some mushrooms and jumped on someone's head.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

If you mean beheadings etc, yes. I personally have felt more affected by some of the material I've stumbled across than playing a violent videogame.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

No. I would, however, if I could trust that person to accept the game at face value - that of a game. The same as my parents were with me (with all forms of media).

Hope that helps.

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

It depends on the child, generally i would say there is little or no effect, however some children be it due to poor upbringing or a pre-existing psychological issues are more susceptible to influences around them in the world - games can be one of the many things that may affect them.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

I generally feel that violence, if used correctly, can be a powerful tool in getting a message across, so yes i feel it can be necessary.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Definitely.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

In the past i would say ratings were largely ignored however i don't feel that was so much down to parents but more the lack of information given. Now game boxes give more info and consoles give parents control over what their kids can play and so in turn i believe parents are beginning to take more notice.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Never.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

Yes, it is a huge entertainment medium that many people just simply don't understand, this makes it a very easy scapegoat as people love to hate something they aren't familiar with

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Generally yes.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Yes, but not because its games are aimed at a younger audience, more because the wii is contributing hugely to getting more people interested in games. The more people interested, the harder the media will find it to turn people against it.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Once again, it depends on the child.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

No.

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

No, There is more underlining problems than just a video game effecting childrens thinking, If a kid is a little **** he will be it regardless, me or my friends where never effected by video games.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

No becuase games have ratings, its up to the parents who supply the children with the money or game, not the game makers.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Depends on how old the child is and his mental state.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

No, too much peer pressure.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

No, first answers applies.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

Yes, the media distort anything for an easy days work.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Yes

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

No

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Yes, access to mobile phones and internet sites have made kids grow up to fast and have access to shocking material.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

No

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?
Yes I think it can de-sensatise people to violence which may not in itself be a negative factor as there is a lot of violence in the world.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
It could perhaps be toned down for some games but just slap an 18 on it and let adults buy the game.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

for 13/14 year old - maybe, for 15+ nope

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

It will have an effect for some parents only

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Of course not only ****tards believe that

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?
Absolutely

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?
I don't pay attention to ratings as I only buy games for myself

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Probably not

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?
Yes

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

Nope

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

if they did nothing but and didn't get out at all then maybe.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

very much justified, especially if the game is going for realism.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

nope, not teenagers... wouldn't buy like resident evil for an 11 year old tho...

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

they probably think the latter but would regret it later once they saw it in the "flesh".

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

hell no.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

yes.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

yes.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

no, cuz the voilent games will always exist and people will always buy them, plus, they are often the best games anyway and the ones people want...

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

i don't think kids are particularly bothered with real life stuff (do you mean the news and the like?)

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

yes, myself...

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

Yes. Modern HD sadistic violence cannot be compared with Tom & Jerry etc and I believe could effect behaviour and moods especially in young children.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

I have nothing against violence being used as an avenue for artistic expression.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

I would only buy a game for a teenager I knew (child of mine) and I would rely more on my own knowledge of the video game industry and the child than the 'advisory' label.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

I'd like to think that uninformed parents take a games ratings quite seriously. I think for the most part (15/18) film certificates are readily used where-as pegi information isn't.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Games aren't to blame at all. Poeple who are inclined to perpetrate violent crimes would do so irrespective of any game.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

Yes.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Generally yes.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

No. People will work harder to portray violent games as bad arguing we should all be playing pong.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Edit:
Parents need to be more aware of the content their children can access. But yes, I do feel internet content (youtube etc.) is more influential.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

No but I've let my daughter see/play material that is rated higher. (GH III is a (12) for example).

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level? Yes it can have an affect on children but this is more a parenting issue, if a child has a good set of morals instilled by the parent and they know the difference between right and wrong and what is and is not real there is no problem.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience? That depends on the game. Manhunt for example is all about violence with a poor game underneath and if the violence was toned down there would be no game. GTA on the other hand doesn't need violence to be a good game. Justified? Most definitely not. Violence can never be justified.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?
As a parent, yes.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?
They should but a lot of parent and shops are irrisponsible.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?
No, the problem is a persons sense of responsibilty and their morals.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media? Yes, very much so.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified? Yes, they have to be. But the shops are to blame for selling to underage kids and parent are to blame for buy adult games for their kids.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?
No, Resident Evil 4?

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game? Yes.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?
No, and never will.

no

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
Its justified. Violent films are ok, so are games. If it was toned down I wouldn't buy it!

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?
no

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?
I see it that its just a game and the rating is pointless.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?
No, If someone wants to shot the hell out of school kids they will. Having played Grand Theft Auto or Counter-strike is irrelevant.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?
Yes!

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?
I have never looked at the rating so could not say.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?
No, The boffin's who blame video games have never played and will not even know what a wii is. They properly think that you need to urinate.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?
No, All kids have to do is watch BBC News 24 or Newsround if its still on.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?
I only buy for myself as I'm selfish

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

Yes to a certain degree.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

I think it's justified if it fits the theme of the story or its portraying real events.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Not if I was buying games for a teenager. Below that, then definitely.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

If the child is under the age of 13 definitely.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Yes, the same way Rock n Roll destroyed the world.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

Definitely.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Yes is most cases.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Nope, the media will always hire idiots.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Yes.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

No.

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?
Yes, but obviously some children will differ from others.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
Yes its justified, its a genre! Toning down violence in a violent game is obviously going to affect the gaming experience!

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Yes if they were under 15, generally over this age you know whats what though.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

Generally yes, but obviously some parents differ from others.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Not soley, people that can't determine the difference between a video game and reality clearly have problems or haven't been brought up correctly in the first place.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?
Yes, parents use videogames to justify thier son/daughter's actions.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?
Yes.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Unlikely, the Wii still offers violent video games (Resident Evil) where by increased movements/actions offer even more underlying realism.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?
Not really as children are more entertained with immersion thats created from gaming and not just reading/watching internet sites.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

Yes

Heres the questions: (just quote me and fill in under neath to make it easier.)

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?

Nope

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?

Imo games shouldnt be toned down at all.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

No since most people my age (16) are mature enough to play games like GTA and not take them seriously or anything.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

in some ways yes.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Nope

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

yes

not all games

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

no but i was bought GTA when i was about 9 :p

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?
Only if the child has some psychological problems in the first place.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
Depends on the game. A boxing game NEEDS blood, War games ala COD NEED blood. But they don't need bonuses or multi-panning-angles of headshots.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?
No

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?
For some, yes.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?
No. It's down to the individual. We see reports weekly about a murder associated with computer games. But we don't see deaths by driving related to games. So it's an indivuals basis.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?
Yes.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?
Yes.

It can convoy some elements, but can be over the top

Yes

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

If they are uneducated about video games, I'm sure they ignore the rating

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

No, society has a large part of the blame

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?

All too often

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?

Not always

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Maybe, only time will tell

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?

Quite possibly

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

Never

Hi guys, im doing my dissertation at the moment on videogame violence and it would be great if you could answer this quick survey.

You dont have to give long answers unless you want to and any that you do answer would be a great help.

Thanks!

Heres the questions: (just quote me and fill in under neath to make it easier.)

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?
If the child is prone to psychological issues then yes.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
Yes and toning it down would make it more of a kids game than an intended market of 18+ if it is an 18 certificate.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?

Yes

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?

In a lot of cases no, too many parents don't seem to care and let their kids play some games that they are far too young to play.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?

Not at all and this is one subject I feel strongly about.
If a screwed up American kid with mental issues plays a violent game then yes this could have a major impact.
Any person of a normal mind can play the game and it wont have any impact within their real life.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?
Yes I certainly do! Lets face it, whenever we hear on the news that some high school American kid has run amoke with a gun, quite often a videogame is balmed and if we are lucky, at some pont we hear that the kid had mental issues.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?
No, not 100%. I've played games that are a 15 certificate and the amount of swearing should have made the came an 18 certificate.
We all know how easily kids pick up on bad langauge but that's no excuse to encourage them to start swearing at a young age.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?

Nope, violent games are being released for the Wii and personally I would say that there is more of a chance parents will not pay attention to what their kids are playing. Most adults I know who let their kids play the latest generation consoles are fully aware of the level of violence in some games.
However, I firmly believe that some parents who are not clued up about consoles will just have the idea that the Wii is 'family orientated' and won't even notice when little Johnny borrows a voilent game that his friends older brother owns.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?
Again I believe this question depends on the mental stability of the child.
Although I think kids under 15 should either be supervised when using the net or perhaps have access denied to certain websites.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?

Nope never. My sister recently bought my 8 year old nephew a PSP and a copy of GTA. As soon as I pointed out the games certification she took the game back to the shop. This futher just strengthens my oppinion on parents not paying attention to the game content / certification.

no

Do you feel video game violence affects children on a psychological level?
I guess it could affect impressionable young 'uns, but also think a lot has to do with their state of mind.

Do you feel that videogame violence is justified in the games that feature it or if it could be toned down and still offer the same gaming experience?
It's part of the game, it doesn't make the game any better from my point of view, but I would not like it removed.

If buying a videogame for a teenager would the rating on the box affect your decision on purchase?
Certainly, age ratings are there for a reason.

Do you feel that ratings systems have any effect on a parent buying for a child or do they just generally see it as “oh well it’s a videogame, it’s made for kids”?
The latter, I think parents are completely unaware of the ratings on games, either through their own ignorance or not.

There have been many cases in the last few years where a videogame has been blamed as the cause for a murder or violent crime. Do you feel that the games are solely to blame?
Not at all, I think that the people committing acts like that have some deep mental issues, in a world struggling for answers I guess games seem a good scapegoat.

Do you believe that in these cases that sometimes videogames are used as an easy scapegoat by the media?
Not only the media, but relations to the victims too.

In the games you have played do you feel that the rating it was given was justified?
I've never really been that wrapped up in the violence to give it a thought.

Do you feel that family friendly consoles (such as the Wii) will reduce the claim against the violent claims against games?
No, I think that the media has effectively planted the seed into people's minds now, so it will always be a factor.

Most children who play videogames also access the internet where content involving real crimes is much more accessible and uncensored, do you feel that this would be more influential to kids rather than playing a game?
Yes, as these sorts of things are real, they depict real suffering and death - games are not real.

Have you personally ever bought a game for someone under the age that it was intended for?
No and I don't think I ever would.

Scort.
