My office colleague wants to go wireless for her laptop at home.
Does it matter which router for which provider, it is not used for gaming, (yet? :)) and only for 512k connection, suggestions please.

oops TIA, Mr Mag00

for ADSL pretty much anything will do. If you want wireless performance for LAN stuff then you'd probably want to steer clear of belkin and Dlink arn't great for reliability either. Also avoid the Linksys WAG54G v1. It's mostly discontinued and most retailers only stock the v2 (the good one that works) but there may stillbe a few knocking around cheap. Their not worth their weight in scrap.
On the other hand a WAG54GS or WAG54Gv2 would do you loverly.

The Netgear DG834G is a great piece of kit the v2 model is small and compact. I've got two in the family and never had a spot of bother with them. :)

Got one at home for 3 years now without 1 issue, and installed one for a small buisness which gets some stupid usage around the same time, both going strong with no issues, ever.

Basic technology that just works :D
