My mum is on virgin, she uses the standard cable modem. Its been years since I fiddled with her setup, and I remember originally I had to register her NIC with NTL to get an IP address etc.
Has that changed now? Can I just bung an old Dlink wireless cable router next to the cable modem and it'll all work? Or do I have to contact Virgin and register the MAC of the router?
