Cant access Rapidshare. Yet when I SSH tunnel to my dedi and then try Rapidshare its alive. I know its not a routing issue since i can tracert and finish. I think virgin are blocking all port 80 requests to rapidshare as ive just got my mate to try and its the same. Can i demand money off my next bill or get a free upgrade ? Since there clearly not offering me a full internet service.

Vote with your feet.

Stop using ISPs that have proven time and time again to not care about the freedom of the internet.

Can't go on it my self odd... Never had a problem not been able to go onto it before with Virgin..

What have they done in the past.
Thought virgin were sort of the 'kindest' no download limits so people with 50meg can download constantly and seems they get no letter etc from VM moaning, im sure you would with like sky or bt

Three weeks here in Derby something has been going off with Virgin Media. Now they say it is a problem with the UBR here but I don't buy that. Most of the trouble seems to be with websites that will sap VM's bandwidth.

I reckon they were experimenting with some more traffic shaping or such like and cocked it up.

I voted with my feet and when I get back from holiday I'm having BE internet installed and dumping all my Virgin services - Phone, TV and BB. Had enough of their crappy traffic management and constant V+ box crashes and getting told the Internet problems are caused by me using Macs!

It's is down for a majority of VM customers Radox, it has been like this since the weekend and seems to be VM Proxy issue / routing problem further down the line.

Saying this, i wouldn't put it past VM to be rolling out new TS configs.

yep its been the same for me but now RS this is BS ;p i live near alfreton and ive had troubles with a oversubed ubr before they do eventually fix if you ring a lot.

put rs27. before your links when downloading, used to work when I was on some ISP that seemed to randomly filter the site

Rapidshare works if you jump on a proxy, a lot of VM users currently unhappy on various forums.

ive jus tried a proxy server with the same results. maybe something wrong with rapidshare?

The requested resource could not be loaded. libcurl returned the error:
Couldn't resolve host 'rapidshare.com'

thought i may as well join in me to I cant get rapidshare to load tho I have n reason to just thought I would test seeing as you lot cant and I cant as well it seems

I live in Oxfam......I me Oxford :P

I've been experiencing issues with Rapidshare recently (since about Friday evening I think), although I'm with TalkTalk instead. The best way I can describe my problem is that I'm being restricted from downloading too many files at a time. Up to about five is fine: my speeds are good and the connections are stable. However, any more than that and it all goes **** up: the downloads are sluggish and freeze, and sometimes the connections drop altogether.

I have no idea what the problem actually is, though, as I'm not exactly clued up when it comes to the network jazz.
