I'd say it's fairly small really, 2TB a month isn't much in our environment. We have the capacity to keep that much data going back for years currently but only keep detailed data for 12 months at the moment.

In comparison the logs files from our order management systems spew out 20-30TB of data a month, that's a lot of data and that's a pain to store (and a reason to berate our developers for their lack of restraint about logging)
 
Just wanted to bump this thread up. VM now does this for sites as well where you can watch TV shows.
The solution is to use Goodbye DPI from Github
