hahaStart posting leaflets around offering other Internet providers in your area with amazing deals. Free up some bandwidth for yourself.![]()
1 neighbour says hers it alittle slow loading sites but she uses wireless. theres not many people can get virgin in my street has its a close..Any of your neighbours affected?
Really need to sort mine out. I'm on the super hub 100mb package, but could do with the 2nd one for bandwidth.
I'm paying £49.50 for council tv, phone and 100mb when all I want is the broadband. Spoke to retentions as I'm out of contract after 4 yrs, and they offered 120mb on the old hub for £37.50 BB only.
£37.50 is the standard price now with the recent price rise, but you're right, it's not a very good deal especially if you're out of contract. Once out of contract I got mine for £25 / month for 120Mb BB only. If I can get it then anyone out of contract can get it.That's not a deal mate, £35 P/M is the standard price for 120mbit on its own. At the very least try and get the deal on their website, £30 for 3 months then £35.

Used to be on an old Virgin 10Mb service years ago, and was constantly fed up with the throttling and speed reductions if I downloaded more than a couple of Gb of data in 5 hours, moved house and switched to sky fibre, and everything was happy.
Except that I'm moving again, and the area I'm moving to doesn't have sky fibre/BT unlimited, only Virgin. Looking at the options, I would probably go for either the 60Mb or 100Mb service broadband only, but what are Virgin like now with throttling and so on? Do they still try and block/throttle torrent traffic? Will I go to a crawl if I try and actually use the 100Mb speed to download something? Or have they actually gotten better?
I have just signed up to 120Mb broadband and if they increase my price in October, I will cancel using the money back guarantee and move to probably Plusnet. I think it's ridiculous to sign up for a £35/month package but to be asked to pay £37.50 instead.
good deal just for broadband but how long for?Just got off the phone from Virgin to complain about the price increase and to also cancel my broadband (within my 28 days guarantee). Spoke to someone in the cancellation department and they were able to give me 120Mb broadband for only £25/month.

also it's very difficult to get a same deal has somebody else.

That's pretty good. Planning on phoning them up today to cancel as we never use the landlane anymore and FTTC is cheaper for BB+phone than Virgin charge for 120mb on it's own, if they can do £25 a month on 120mb then i'd stick with them for the BB instead of switching to FTTC.
Been looking through our old phone bills today and 90% of the months over the past 3 or 4 years the call charges have been either zero or just a few pounds. Can't for the life of me think why i've been paying them £15 every month when us and the kids only really use our mobiles.
