virgin media upgrade

Currently paying £41/pm for XL TV/weekend phone and 10mb BB with one V+ box.

Rung VM wanting 20mb, sky sport and movies collection and another HD box.

They are wanting £86/pm and £89 install/cost for the second box - can we get any better?!

just added up the same deal from sky which comes to £84.50 a month

You could ring virgin and ask to cancel to save the £1.50 a month. But they could call your bluff and not offer you a better deal and let you leave ...

Sky want more than that with 2 HD boxes and the initial cost of both.... :confused:

thats assuming the £10 a month for HD is dropped (which is supposed to be happening in Nov)
without that its £119 a month.

So yeah as it stands currently you cant really force them to go cheaper as they'll know sky is more expensive atm.

we dont bother with movies or sky sports.

I'll go watch films at the cinema, if its one i really love i'll buy it on DVD / bluray. Anything else i'll just "rent"
