Hi all,

My family are looking into getting a virgin media package, in particular the up to 30MB cable DSL. There are 5 of us in the house with 2 laptops, 3 desktops and 4 mobiles using the internet a fair bit. Going from our 6MB ADSL line will be a bit boost in speed, I have however heard some mixed reviews about the quality of virgin's service.

Please post any personal experiences and comments below, good and bad.

Thanks in advance :)

Should be fine, although the Superhub (router) isn't that great, they are in the process of sorting it. The actual broadband service itself is superb. With multiple users, the upload speed of 3mbit is most likely higher than what you had before, which is helpful.

as long as your ubr isn't overloaded it's a great service...telling that however is next to impossible till you've tried it

well we're in a village, and it dosent look like too many people have taken up the service yet so I dont expect it to be overloaded. I was quite suprised we could actually get virgin cable in the first place seeing as our exchange has no LLU or ADSL2 services enabled :) Sound like it will be idea for our needs.
