Am I missing something here?

If I want more data on my virgin sim, I can buy an add on of 1GB for £10 or 3GB for £20. However, if I run out of data, I will automatically be charged £3 per GB of extra data I use.

So, basically, who in their right mind would buy a data add on for a tenner when they can just carry on using their phone and pay £3 for the same thing.

Am I missing something obvious here?
 
The £3 is per day. So I'm assuming if you used 500mb in a day, you'd be charged £3. Use another the next day, charged £3.

Whereas the £10 / 1gb lasts you a whole month.
