Virgin XGS-PON thread

I noticed on 6 Oct that my IP address changed and my latency dropped significantly to all services that I am tracking. I decided to look into it this eve and have found Virgin have moved me onto their Cardiff core. I have seen, on average, a 33% reduction in latency to services being tracked. Quad9 was the largest change - down from 14ms to 5ms.

New Cardiff core FQDNs and IP addresses: cdif-core-2a-ae11-11.network.virginmedia.net [80.255.200.224] & cdif-core-2b-ae11-11.network.virginmedia.net [80.255.200.226]

I guess they are not done optimising the network. Time to remove Birmingham from my tracking. :D

Is there a way to find out which VM street cabinet you're connected too? Specifically the XGS-PON FTTP network?

My line goes out to the Openreach pole in the back street then down the pole into an Openreach ground chamber, where it goes from there who knows!
