Virginmedia Which Wireless "N" router

Nat table on those is indeed pants, but thats a problem with the firmware across all dlinks routers atm, one day they may fix it.

Anyway, if it works for you use it. You can always replace it with something better later :).

Funny, we just got one of them this week from virgin. I hav'nt messed about with it coz i have my pc in my room (attic) hardwired to it haha long cable :) . However my dad says the wireless isnt working propperly so can you replace this router with a better one if you like or do you have to use this D-link one for virgin broadband to work?

Also if it is a good idea to upgrade the router does anyone know of any good compatable routers which they would reccomend?

I'm home now and it's arrived and its a Dlink DIR-615. currently connect wirelessly and transfering 10gb to my popcorn hour. i'll let your know the outcome

The DD-WRT firmware makes it at least usable, but it's still turd.

I have updated the to the "dir-615_fw_v4-11_rev_D1" official d-link firmware, with hope that the drop outs with high usage go away, but something tells me it will return......

Do you still get the drop outs with the DD-WRT firmware ?

i got my Dlink router today for the XL 20mb, and I can't fault with it. Although, we really need the router upstairs, and currently using the powerline adapters to get internet upstairs :(

hi mate i just signed up with virgin and they sent me the wireless N NETGEAR DG834G V5 which is pretty good but if you have an xbox or ps3 and use a wireless setup to go online with it you may have a few problems, i had to use an ethernet to connect my xbox live, its a known bug with the firmware i believe
