Hi Guys, just upgraded my kit and alls gone well so-far till now, i just tried to install VIRTU from the drivers disk and i keep getting this................................(This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system)

when i go to device manager the onboard intel (R) HD Graphics Family adapter has a question mark next to it.

I have tried uninstalling/re-installing the adapter and driver
updating all drivers
enableing onboard VGA in Bios
updateing the BIOS

but still cant get Virtu to run

any ideas what i can try next to get it working?

its on a ASROCK E4 G3
SB CPU
MSI HD6950/70 in slot pcie-x16 top slot
Revo drive 2 x2 in slot Pcie-x4 the bottom slot

Do it in this order.

*UNINSTALL VIRTU*

*INSTALL THE CHIPSET DRIVERS*
Download page here for Inf update (chipset drivers)

*INSTALL THE INTEL GRAPHICS DRIVERS*
Use this to make sure you are running the latest intel graphics drivers. The reason for your yellow question mark in hardware manager.

*INSTALL NEW VERSION OF VIRTU*
Use the new version of Virtu.

Download page here.

If you still have errors, which I doubt you will if you do what I say above.

Disable all stuff you don't use on the motherboard in the BIOS , eg, sound card, serial port, firewire, etc etc that you don't use.

I believe for Virtu Lucid you need to connect the monitor to the IGP motherboard HDMI/DVI port.

It won't work with the monitor connected to the GFX card HDMI.

I just got an MSI-Z68A-GD55 (G3), I don't have a clue if they(Z) are all the same but in the bios, there is a 'd-Mode' for only using the igp for encoding etc(but not to output any signal) and you plug the monitor into the 6950, and the 'i-Mode' that uses virtu and you plug the monitor into the hdmi out on the board.

Did you get anywhere with this mate or still problems ?

Just to let you, i got it working last night, first it was working, then it was-not working! so i done a clean install of windows, loaded all the drivers, the chipset driver, the onboard vga driver, then the AMD catalyst for the HD6950, installed Virtu and bob`s your uncle worked like a dream. Thanks again for that info Purgatory.

Pleasure :) , happy you got it sorted, so sounds like Windows install went bad or you installed the things in the wrong order. We are all learning with the new Z68 chipset and it's new features. Hope this helps other people out too. :D
