Virtual Credit Card

Anybody have/use Virtual/online credit cards?

I'm wondering if it is worth getting/signing up for one to use with online shops where I might make the single purchase and never use them again (don't like leaving credit card details stored online wherever possible).

Paypal prohibit purchasing a lot of things like adult material, in addition to that a lot of places don't accept it.

You can buy pre-paid Visa/Mastercard/Amex cards in shops like Asda and Argos. That's what I'd do, saves the faff, and if your main concern is security then every card will only be used at a few shops before you change it completely.

Well I guess if the shop has a Paypal option when paying it's a good bet that Paypal are happy with you using them to purchase the goods said shop are selling...

Will take a look the next time I pop in.

A few weeks back I was going to buy a new drain pump for our dishwasher and the cheapest parts store I found online looked ok but I didn't really want to use my main credit card/s just in case.

The other day I signed up for a gym trial membership and would have preferred to have used a disposable card number in case I forget to cancel in time and stop any re-occurring payments.
