For anyone with sky router I’ve got a potential solution.
With SkyQ the Sky TV boxes form a wireless mesh and it’s your quest connecting via the mesh which introduces tons of latency.
Mine was giving me 50 to 90ms latency when I connected “normally”.
Switch off all your sky boxes before you switch on the quest and it will force it to connect directly with the hub.
That will enable you to confirm it’s the mesh causing the issue.
if it is, then the long term solution (I.e. when you’ve switched all your sky Q boxes back on) is switch off your quest, walk over to the main sky router and switch on your quest whilst your standing over it. This forces your quest to connect to the router itself, since it’s the strongest signal. You can then walk back to where you normally play (as long as you’ve got a strong enough signal the quest won’t switch away from the router).
For me that reduced my latency down to sub 20ms (apart from the odd, infrequent spike) and stops 99% of the stuttering I was getting on virtual desktop.
