What settings are people using in VD for the Quest 3?
Did a reinstall the otherday and cant for the life of me remember wtf I had changed..

I use AV1 @ 150mbps no idea if that's right I seem to think it is for some reason. And use VDXR instead of SteamVR etc which really helps sometimes with FPS. This is with a Q3, Godlike resolution for at the moment Beam NG and 7 Days To Die, looks good and is smooth etc.

I've got a 4070 super and run h264+ at 500Mbps at Ultra. This gives the best quality for myself..found it way better than using av1

You can't use AV1. So the rest depends on your WIFI. You should be able to play Godlike using H.264+ at 400Mbps. Make sure to turn off 'automatically adjust bitrate' in the desktop app.

Can I not AV1 thought my 13900?

my settings
i have a 5090 and a 7600X though

i'll post the other settings when im on my headset

After a lot of frustration I have Virtual Desktop running wirelessly on my 5ghz dedicated router and am quite impressed. Quest link refused to see my usb 3 claiming it was usb 2 or not even seeing my gaming rig.

The developer of Virtual Desktop actually cares, and actively develops the product.

I was a Link user until recently. I stopped because it was getting increasingly janky. I went back to Virtual Desktop and was amazed how much better it was now. Plus the performance increase using VDXR is noticeable.

Virtual Desktop is 1 of my best VR related purchases, yeh Link might do the job....until it doesn't 1 day, whereas VD just works with minimum fuss.

Bit of a thicko question but can I use this via VD, which I purchased donkies ago for the Vive? Or do I also need to also buy the Quest VD version? Confused how VD versions differ considering it all relates to PCVR gaming.

Virtual desktop these days need a puchase on the headset your using if its a standalone headset.
if your a wred headset then my understanding is the PC verision of Virtual Desktop is legacy and for rift series? - never really looked in to that side of it.
in short buy the quest version
