Hi all,

I am about to re install my Win7, going to put it on 2 320GB HD's in Raid 1. I was first thinking that I would partition it up and have Win7 and XP Pro in dual boot, but considering I barely ever uses XP nowdays, only on the odd game if it won't run in Win7, I am sort of wondering if I could have XP Pro in VirtualBox instead? Would I still be able to play games and such that way if needed? I know that you can not play games through the XP mode that you can have on Win 7, only run certain software programs such as Word etc, has VirtualBox the same restrictions?

Or is it some other software out there that I could use if I get the odd game that is not compatible with Win7? Because thinking about it, if I don't have to do a dual boot I might just reformat my 2 160Gb HD's that I have in Raid 1 now with XP Pro on, which would let me have the 2 320GB as extra storage drives, hmmmm so is there a program I could use for the above?

Any and all advice/suggestions is, as always, greatly appreciated! :D

VirtualBox has very limited D3D support and it's experimental IIRC. I would be (pleasantly) surprised if you could play any recent (within the last 5 years) games at all sufficiently.

Wish you could ... then I could run Linux and use a vbox to play my games.

:) I guess I have to do a dual boot then ehhh.. bummer! Ohh well, that's life I guess! Thanks for yur input BahBah!

Probably wont be getting a reply here but lets try, saves opening a new thread!

When I am doing the installation I will only have the two 320Gb drives connected, set it up in Raid 1 and then do the installation of XP Pro, so will it be possible for me to decide a partion when I do the first installation, or do I have to fix that later?!?
