Hi Guys,
I got a customer who has brought their computer to me to check up. The problem is that as soon as they log in, they get a error message about 5 minutes later, stating that C:\Windiws\Services has caused an unexpected termination and the system will shutdown in 60 seconds.
Sounded like a clasice case of MS Blast virus to me. So, I got a removal tool from Norton's website for this, it states that no virus was found. I run a check with Avast anti virus in boot up time and it removed around 1,000 infected files from the system. However the problem still presists. I tried to stop the shutdown via a run command, but that does no good.
In safe mode, however the problem doesn't exsist.
Anyone got any ideas how to go about clearing this problem, without formatting it?
Thanks for any help.
Rob.
