virus?

hello people, im having trouble with my pc, ive jus brought it 2 weeks ago, 1st of all, i cannot access the net, right now im using the net in safe mode, but when i log in normal there is something blocking my connection, cant figure out what it is, i do not have a firewall or antivirus which is my mistake which i should have done. Also i cannot seem to shut down my pc. when i click it, nothing happens!! IS there any way round this? would appreciate the help, thanks

try installing av and anti spyware, see if it finds any crap once it has scanned
