Visa for Pakistan

I am hoping to visit Pakistan for two weeks early next year. Obviously I will need a visa but seem to get wildly contrasting prices for one. Only a few weeks ago my girlfriend found a site claiming a price of £80. Today I found two websites; one charging £100 and another £150. My girlfriend can't remember where she found the £80 one. Does any one here know the best/cheapest place to get one? Any tips etc? Many thanks :)

If I were you mate I'd speak to the Pakistan Emberssey in the UK, you can call them and they will advise you. You don't want to buy a Visa from a dodgey site and find yourself in a Pakistan prison for forged docs.

£104.00 + my passport needs renewing, this is going to be an expensive ticket.

EDIT - On a separate note. Is there much difference between Qatar Airways, Emirates and Etihad from OcUK'ers personal experience. They all seem to fair quite well.

Emirates is the best out of those

Qatar is not bad at all (bear in mind you probably have a big stop over in Doha for the cheapest tickets, the airport is quite small so i would take a ipod or something)

Cant comment on Etihad but it has some good reviews

If they hand your passport back and ask for your passport. Put some money in your passport then give it to them again.

Doha airport is pretty crap really (they are building a new one for the World Cup). If you have a long stopover there then it's seriously worth booking a hotel imo - mine cost me $80 and I think you have to book through the airline as you'll be in transit.

From personal experience Emirates is the best then Etihad, although there isn't much in it and I'd go with Etihad as they are normally much cheaper. I've not flown Qatar but have been told by friends that it is a decent airline and they were happy with their flights.

I went in November last year, VISA cost £50 or something like that. Visited the embassy in London directly and applied and got it via there.

Only issue was you apply one day then return a week later to see if you were accepted and then pick up the stamped passport etc which I thought was a right faff.

That and the cramped queues waiting in line for 2~ hours at a time (wondering when you will get served because your car parking ticked was only set for an hour so you might need to nip out again and pay another £3.80 odd...) with noisy brown people ¬_¬

It's ok, we have ample security (as long as that doesn't make us more of a target :p).

Wish I had paid attention at the weekend; Qatar (sale) return flight for £410. None below £500 now lol.

Qatar is the best out of the ones you listed.

I would love to visit Pakistan. Maybe one day

Also avoid the people working in the airport if they offer to carry your bags. Avoid like the plague. Also don't pay any of the walkabout waiters there who want to serve you drinks, if you don't pay exact change you will never see them again!

Something isn't right. Surely it can't have doubled in price in a year :(

Sounds like any Nigerian airport then :D though it's been almost 20 years since I last went to one.
