Vista 32-bit or 64-bit for new rig??

You seem to forget that even a single drive may go faulty; I'm prepared to take the risk of having 2x large drives in RAID0 and backing up any thing that important.

In addition, at £79 a drive, it's a no-brainer.

Yes but using two drives there's twice the chance that one will die and you will lose all of your data.

If you've weighed up the risks and are happy with it then that's your decision, you seem to know what you're on about, so best of luck with it.

And you're right, those drives are very good value now they're on special offer.

Speed is more important to me, especially for load times etc. Files can always be backed up.

In addition, I've never had a non-Maxtor HDD fail on me. I must admit, I am tempted to go for 2x WD VelociRaptor's though :D
