Vista + 360 = Steaming **** on a stick

no firewalls.. everythings same as it was in xp i changed nothing so why would i change for vista :/

I changed to vista 64bit from xp about 3 months ago, I used wmp11 on both to stream and I didn't have to change anything when I switched, worked first time.
 
You have version 4.5.8 of the Vista Codec Package installed.

That codec pack is god awful - I use ffdshow and I find it a lot better. So what exactly is it doing when you try to play the video on the 360? Is it not finding it or is it not displaying it?
 
Use Tversity and forget the nonsense MS use.

A better solution is to get a PS3 :D

Plus in addition PS3 works with more hardware devices making it a truly wireless media hub. Bluetooth, big HDD etc. helps too. etc. etc. etc.
