Vista 64 - Basic, Premium, Ultimate?

There is a difference between the max amount of RAM supported. Think Basic = 8GB, HP = 16GB, Ultimate = stupidly large amount.

I purchased HP, when it was on weekly offer, and have never used Media Centre apart from loading it once to see what it was. So apart from Aero I might as well have gone for Basic.

i bought ultimate retail because i liked the idea of having 32 bit and 64 bit in the same box and that i could reinstall 1 over the other pretty easily anytime i wanted, had 32 bit, reinstalled with 64 bit after mobo upgrade and didnt have to call microsoft.

isnt that because it was retail instead of OEM.. and nothing to do with the fact that it was ultimate?
