I used to use K lite when on xp32 bit. Im now on vista 64bit and cant get teh vista 64bit version to work(well if they are i still cant whatch some stuff) any ideas on what else to use?

Cheers

Vista Codec Pack x64 Components do the job.

Bear in mind 64-bit codecs are only required for Windows Media Center, as the default Windows Media Player is still 32-bit.

Thats madness. There must be people on here with vista 64 that wouldnt put up with that. Its soo bad i want to go back to xp32 if I cant sort it!

Windows media player isnt playing my avi files. " Searching for codec" then says "codec found" but still dont get a image or sound just the stupid graphics

K-Lite Vista 64 user here, no problems, it plays everything under the sun.

Could try the CCCP (combined community codec pack).

If you are using x64 vista, just change it to make Media Centre 64bit the default, its really easy to do
