Vista basic must be faster ?

Yes those fading greens / blues + transparency etc! which can probably be turned off or changed!
Maybe I'm use to WinXP.

Compare safari browser against FF / IE / Opera you will see Safari has distinct difference visually, thats how I see WinXP vs Vista.

Hardly the same though; unless I'm reading it wrong, he tested it on a poorly-specced PC. As we've said countless times already, on a good gaming PC, you really aren't going to see a difference.

But alas, if you don't need nor want anything that Home Premium provides, go Basic. But then, that should have been obvious from the start.
