ok. i have vista installed, and wanted another one, incase my one craped up.

i made 20GB partition, and installed vista on it.

now i have two vista installations on one disk.

i also have a bad installation of XP on that partition then i deleted (using the vista instaltion thing) and then put vista on it.

now when it boots up, it gives me the choice of the earlier windows, and the newer partition of vista.

the older vista is not to be seen.

but it shows up as the D: drive in the newer vista.

how do i get to boot into that again?

right, i figured it out :)

got vistabootpro, and deleted the old broken xp boot, which was pointing to my old vista install.

then made a boot option with the old vista, and it worked.

thanks shaffaaf27 for helping me :D
