Vista Codecs...

Hey guys.

Well I've been having a lot of problems with my PC. Mainly due to videos/media player not working.

Can anyone recomend the best video codecs to use with Windows Vista?

Make sure you grab the x64 addon as well (assuming your using 64bit).

Does the pack play quicktime movies? Also should I uninstall DivX first?

It does, and as it includes codecs that will play DivX, you might as well uninstall it.

If you are using this

Then also download and install this

it gives you the video preview in the file explorer.

didn't now it did that as well. been using media centre all this time. Good knowledge there

Inly thing yhat doesn't work for me is Realmedia files don't have a preview in explorer.

You'd need a 64-bit RM codec, and I'm not sure there is one.
