I downloaded a sidebar gadget to show cpu usage and ram usage in the one widget, it clearly says that I have one cpu and that it has one core (Dual core opteron 146 is what I have)

Is the widget wrong or is ultimate only seeing one core?

Does task manager performance tab show one or two cpu graphs?

The widget only shows one CPU. As misterjingo says check the task manager (right click the task bar and select task manager).

That is strange if it says that it's dual core in the Bios as it is deffinatly not.

Well there's always the possibility it's not a 146.

What does it say in device manager?

Same processor as mine, Definately not dual core. And mine doesnt mention it being dual on boot. :)

run CPUZ as already said :) just to check the processor type

Well if its not a dual core guess I got pwnt when I bought it!

Just go to control panel and device manager. Expand "proccesors" and tell us what it says.

It'll take about 1 min. You most likely just got the name wrong.
