Vista Dreamscene??

Dumb Question maybe...but how do I get dreamscene on Vista Ultimate to work??? If I right clcik on the desktop....the 'play dreamscene(preview)' option is greyed out???? I did install the preview update.

you need to set your wallpaper to a dreamscrene first.

ahhh...sorted! Looks cool. Ive read that when you install the Dremescene preview the the addition scenes that Microsft have released are available through windows update. They aint showing in mine at all?

forget it...it has appeared now that I have dremescene running!!!

Yes its only availiable on Vista Ultimate.

I have Vista Home Premium but have also tried Ultimate and in my view the extra features that you get just isnt worth the extra cost.

The Dremescene is nice but its not really like you stare at your desktop all day long.

Anyway its nice but it fades away after a while.

edit - I'm having a look now, but it isn't there when you right click on the desktop and the search/help function doesn't bring up anything.

Right click and click personalize, then desktop background

edit - it's only available on Vista Ultimate, not Home Premium.

If you go to the search bit on the start menu type in Videos and then go into the folder, Sample Videos, then right click on one and it should say something like set as Dremescene.

You can get videos on the background in other versions of Vista. There was a Sidebar gadget that let you do it. Can't remember what it is called though..

Edit: It's called Desktop Wallpaper. To get a movie to play on it drag and drop it onto the gadget in the sidebar. To stop the video press the stop button on the gadget.
