Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe 939 socket :) , did look on Asus website no luck , the customer service at Asus is about much use a chocolate tea pot

I'm running that board (Premium version) on Vista 64bit and it's fine. Like someone here said, the LAN drivers are automatically installed by Vista and the rest comes up as "Unknown device" at the moment. Will check that link and get back to ya if it improves anything.

Tute, Creative do have drivers but they are pants and VERY basic at present Beta release

Creative Labs will improve in the next month i,m sure ;)

God I hope so, nothing is there apart from a VERY basic volume bar and a mixer with 2 sliders, one for PC and for Digi output. Gone are all those lovely Creative touches and tweaks that we're now very used to having :(

Hey Tute , can i ask your advice , is it work getting vista now or waiting for a while ?

It's totally up to you. It's like any other system upgrade, you need to decide if you can afford it, if you want it, if you're unhappy with your current OS etc.

I'm going Vista as soon as I can get my hands on some cash (i'm getting a new Raptor 150GB to put it on) and I won't be looking back.

Yeah it's far from perfect, but from what I played around with in Beta2, it's a very nice OS.

all motherboards drivers are not release yet until end of this month as Nvidia havent finish yet for 32 and 64bits - once Nvidia finish the new drivers then they let all motherboards firm to know that drivers are release so just wait until next week. I own Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9 that still not get new drivers until Vista retail is out first - I wait until it release, just one Ive download is from Epson for my 4490 scanner that has been released for Vista/Vista x64

no drivers from epson yet for most of their printers.

R220

Vista x86 works with the xp drivers fine.

But Vista x64 doesnt work with either the 32bit or 64bit drivers. :(

on their site they say drivers will be made available for the 1st quarter of 2007 lol.

Have to wait n see. but i need to print so back to xp 64bit for me for the moment.

I think I've got an R320 so that's just great

Ah well, not like it gets any serious hammer anyway! That's *** work printers are for ;)

Anyone know what the best vista drivers are for geforces? Just seen that there are some Vista Forceware drivers version 100.34, has anyone tried these drivers or are they still buggy? Would i be better off using the WHQL 97.19 drivers instead?

I installed Vista using Win XP RAID drivers on a machine I have. They worked fine.

Give it a go. I think you will be OK.

You don't need Vista drivers for everything - XP drivers work quite well (except for video drivers because the driver model under Vista for video is completely different).
XP drivers on Vista is unsupported and could cause an atomic explosion at any time. Basically, if you happen to get an XP driver working then you're pretty lucky but you shouldn't rely on it for ever - check every now and then to see if a proper Vista driver is available.

Disk drive controllers and other types of "basic" drivers should be compatible, but anything more than that and the above applies.

Im having trouble with my wireless conn - Atheros AR5006X. Drivers are installed fine, and it can see the AP but for some reason it won't connect to it.

Event log is less than helpful,

Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason.

Detailed root cause:
802.11 connection failed due to status code 1: unspecified failure

Great :p
