Vista + Dual Core

Vista plays nicer with multi-core than XP or 2000 did, there is no need for dual-core fixes or CPU drivers. However XP and 2000 wern't that bad with dual-core to begin with.

VISTA IS compatible with Single,Dual and Multi-core processors. It is some programs that may not be. Get it right Lysander.

Why do you say it is not compatible with Dual core processors?

Sarcasm can be difficult to convey over the net.

But usually a ridiculous statement followed by a " :p " is enough to convey a lack of seriousness.

Vista benefits highly from a multi-core CPU. It is the main reason why people who install it on a outdated machine such as a P4C are unhappy with performance.

anything with this in, means its a joke

let's hope this doesn't spiral out control when that guy said "if you do more than 5 burns a day, liteon drives will fail quickly, it says on their website :p"

lol

I could see that but when you get the odd Layman on these boards it makes it very hard to discern your jokes from an actual honset answer.
If you are going to give advise to someone don't put them off by what you may see as a harmless joke.
What if it was you? And you were the newbee looking for an answer to what may seem an innocent question.
I remeber when XP was launched and people were asked if it supported HT processors. And as soon as SP1 was released it supported them properly. It was only Application programs like Adobe who led the way in digital Photography. So plese don't throw a spanner in the works for the innocent.
