I have the 320GB Western Digital SE16 HDD and I have heard that users get a 5.9 in windows vista under the experience index.

The problem is that I only get a 5.7 and was wondering if my setup is correct. I have a Gigabyte 965 ds3p and was wondering if I am required to change any of the settings in the bios in relation to this.

Many thanks in advance

I wouldn't really care about what Windows thinks of my hardware, as long as it does the job it is supposed to do, i you wanted to test it properly use a hard drive benchie.(HD Tach)

Thanks all, I should have known not to take any notice of anything to do with Microsoft and Hardware.

I am new to this mainboard and was wondering what setup in bios I should use for my HDDs.

I have one SATA which is the Western Digital (Local Disc) and one IDE HDD Maxtor. I am confused on how I can obtain the fastest speed of this drive and would I need to re-install everything if I needed to change the options in the BIOS?

All BIOS options are set at default. If you think there are any other options I should use in the BIOS please let me know as I am new to adjusting anything in BIOS other than the simple things ;)
